Project Row Houses (PRH) was founded 25 years ago in Houston’s Historic Third Ward, one of the city’s oldest African-American neighborhoods. It’s a community platform that enriches lives through art with an emphasis on cultural identity and its impact on the urban landscape. PRH engages neighbors, artists and enterprises in collective creative action to help materialize sustainable opportunities in marginalized communities.
I collaborated with Consequence of Innovation to develop an identity system that honors its past in a modern way. Through a refreshed brand identity, a collection of signage and way-finding for their 39 structures that take up five city blocks and a 25-year impact report; we kicked-off a rebrand that would be timeless and grow with the organization for years to come.
