About

I am a creative director in Houston, Texas and have been part of the team at Principle for six years.

While at Principle, I have led our design team in creating brand identities for Houston Museum District, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, Southern Smoke Foundation, and Pappas Restaurants. I’ve also directed extensive brand/environmental systems for Houston Zoo, Goode Company, and numerous other destination spaces locally and nationally.

Independently, I’ve created design work for organizations including the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, University of Houston School of Art, Project Row Houses, Preservation Houston, HabitatMap, and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts. Prior to joining Principle, I worked at NUU, where I led branding projects for clients such as Civic Nation, Hearts in Action, As Our Own, and Everspring.

I am a member of AIGA and previously served on the advisory board for the Houston Chapter. From 2012 to 2016, I was on the board of directors, serving as Houston’s Membership Director and Associate Director of Emerging Membership, where I helped launch the Design Loop mentorship program for emerging designers.

Outside of work, I volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, collaborate with my husband on our side project, Print Prologue, and strive every day to be the best mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
 

Some thoughts about design:

I believe that intentional design and thoughtful construction have the power to improve the quality of life for every person. Good design not only enhances visual appeal—it also makes things work better. I approach every project with two core goals: to create design that communicates simply, clearly, and effectively and to elevate how audiences experience brands and products.
