About

I am a design director at Principle in Houston, Texas.

For 15 years I’ve been grateful to have collaborated with clients such as Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, University of Houston School of Art, DiverseWorks and Preservation Houston. I’ve worked with NUU leading design of branding projects for clients like Civic Nation, Hearts in Action, As Our Own and Everspring, among others. And I’ve collaborated with Consequence of Innovation—art directing various projects and brands for organizations such as Project Row Houses, FreshArts, HabitatMap and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts.

I am an active member of AIGA and serve as an advisory board member for the Houston Chapter. From 2012–2016, I served on the board of directors as Houston’s Membership Director and Associate Director of Emerging Membership and helped launch the mentorship program for emerging designers: Design Loop.

In my time outside of work, I volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, make things with my husband for our side project Print Prologue, and try every day to be the best mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend I can be.
 

Some thoughts about design:

I believe the ways things are intentionally built and constructed have the power to change the quality of life for every human being. And that good design makes something work better, as well as making it look better. I begin every project with these primary goals: create great design that communicates simply, clearly and effectively; improve an audiences’ perception of and experience with brands and products; increase the quality & value of brands through purposeful design and messaging.
