As Design Director at NUU Group, I led the creation of a new brand identity and system for Hearts in Action, a social change organization based in Petén, Guatemala. With a mission rooted in education, ecology, and enterprise, the organization serves 10 rural villages in the Mayan Biosphere, supporting primarily indigenous Maya and Q’eqchi communities through programs like the Jungle School, a nonprofit educational center for local children. In addition to guiding the design team, I traveled to Petén with our photography and video director to art direct on-site shoots, capturing imagery and film of the organization’s impact and the people it serves. The resulting brand identity and visual assets reflected the vibrancy, resilience, and cultural richness of the community while equipping Hearts in Action with tools to amplify its mission.
